Relationship Advice From Jesus

Advice From Jesus

Look for advice from Jesus. Hope shines eternal when our relationships run smoothly and are in line with solid principles. We all have difficult people in our lives. They are there to teach us valuable life lessons. How often do we say, “My life would be perfect if I had a perfect family, a perfect spouse, and perfect children?” How boring. Imperfections shine a light on what we need to work into our own lives. Let’s take a look at the following advice from Jesus. “

Which of you, if you had one hundred sheep, and lost one of them, wouldn’t leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one that was lost, until he found it?” – Jesus

What is the impact that one person can have? How can we learn from the Biblical advice from Jesus?

What if no one impacted the life of Ludwig Van Beethoven? Both of his parents were alcoholics. He came into the world infected with an STD. Doctors administered a medication which caused progressive deafness to begin when he was in his thirties. The medication caused elevated levels of lead in his body, which caused him to develop an irascible personality. What if no one came to his rescue? What if no one mentored him? What if no one saw his unique capabilities?

We would be without thirty two piano Sonatas, Nine symphonies, and “Ode to Joy.”

When we seek out the power of one, we increase our ability to make a difference in the world.

What if no one came to the aide of Oprah Winfrey? She was victimized sexually by various family members until the age of thirteen. Her mother sent a rebellious Oprah off to live with her father, who provided her with the rod of discipline. What  if the father failed to rescue her? What if he failed to see her potential? What if she had never had the chance to be subjected to the influence of her Church from the age of three to the age of thirteen?

We would be without the magnificent inspiration she provided on her television show and on OWN.

When we seek out the power of one, we increase our capacity to experience hope.

When we care for the one, we care for all. Look around you. Seek out the hurting and treat them with respect and honor. Seek out the outcast and treat him with respect. Seek out the loner and invite him to fellowship with you,
