Easter Blessings for You

Easter is the time of renewal and blessings.  We have survived a brutal winter only to welcome spring with open arms. Flowers are blooming, birds are singing, and all is well again.

I will regale you with a bit of news. Winter was hard, with the reality of two falls, one on ice and the other in my kitchen. It’s been difficult. I have titled this newsletter, Finding Your Easter Blessings because I found blessings in the middle of challenges and I want to encourage you to find your blessings too.

Some of you may know that I have struggled with a vocal disorder known as spasmodic vocal dysphonia. My voice would be functional for hours on end followed by vocal tightening and crackling in the voice for extended periods of time. During my recuperation period from the falls, I had a chance to read The Brain That Heals Itself by Dr. Norman Doddridge. Chapter 7 is devoted to stories about patients who have had relief from vocal and neurological problems. I then purchased a device that has restored my voice to nearly 100% effectiveness. This was my blessing.

Enough about me. Let’s talk about you. How can you go about finding your blessings? Let’s explore a few ideas.
Set aside time to reflect on your blessings. So often we can get so caught up in the business of living that there is little time to count them.
Do some inspirational reading each day. Pick up the Bible. Read the works of Wayne Dyer or Maya Angelou.
Remember to be grateful. Gratitude will birth more of the same. It’s that old law of attraction.
Make a list of those blessings and meditate on it.
Make Easter a time of renewal. Get regular massages. Adopt a healthy diet. And take better care of yourself.
Renew your body, mind, and spirit.
Dear readers, may you have a blessed Easter and may you be
renewed on all levels.
